About This Bowl
A 11” x 2.5” wood bowl made from locally sourced ambrosia maple wood from North Carolina. This bowl with its shallow form is ideal for serving and gathering at the table, while also functioning as a fruit bowl or everyday centerpiece.
Each bowl is turned using a once-turned method, allowing the wood to dry and move naturally over time. This process results in a subtly warped form that reflects the true nature of the tree, making every piece one of a kind. The gentle movement, variation in grain, and natural character can be seen in the photos of each individual bowl.
Finish & Safety
Each piece is finished with a food safe blend of walnut oil and beeswax, giving it a soft, natural sheen that enhances the wood’s color and grain (those with nut allergies should avoid contact with walnut oil).
Cracks and knots may be present in the wood. They are a natural part of the material and have been carefully sealed and stabilized for everyday use.
Care Instructions
To clean, gently hand wash using light soap and water — never place in the dishwasher or sit in water. Regular maintenance with food safe oil will help prevent drying and preserve the finish.
A care card is included with all bowl and utensil purchases.
